No — and it doesn't try to. Beepr runs quietly alongside whatever you already use (or nothing at all). Its beeps duck other audio rather than interrupting it.
Beepr uses coarse, low-power location most of the time and only switches to precise GPS when you're near a known camera. Typical daily impact is small, though always-on location does use some battery.
Beepr is an awareness app built on publicly known camera locations — the same information posted on signs and county websites. It doesn't detect radar or interfere with enforcement equipment. Laws vary; you're responsible for lawful use where you drive.
We make reasonable efforts to keep camera locations current, but enforcement programs change quickly — cameras are added, moved, and turned off. Beepr may occasionally miss a camera or beep where one no longer operates. Treat it as a helpful nudge, never as permission to rely on it. See our Terms.
