Chicago runs one of the biggest automated-enforcement programs in America: 300 red-light cameras and 326 Children's Safety Zone speed cameras, by our current count. That's 626 machines that can mail you a ticket.

Where the list comes from
The City of Chicago actually publishes its camera locations on the city open-data portal — credit where due. We sync that feed, cross-check changes before shipping them, and publish the merged result nightly. When the city adds a camera, Beepr users get it automatically, no app update needed.
Use it, correct it
The map is free to browse, share, and link — no signup, no paywall on the list itself. Spot an error? data@getbeepr.com — corrections ship to every user within a day. Journalists: we provide custom data cuts (by ward, by corridor) and our sourcing methodology on request via the press page.
The honest math
Chicago speed-camera tickets are $35 if you're 6–9 mph over and $100 at 10+. We're not against slowing down near schools and parks — we're against finding out a camera existed by mail, three weeks later. A beep before the camera fixes that for everyone: you slow down there, which is the whole point, and you keep your $100.
